It's a bit awkward using the Wii-mote to type. Nicely done though.

Nice. How is the speed on the Opera browser? The DS one was way too slow to be usable. In addition, more complex sites with Flash and soforth are often troublesome. Are there problems displaying complex pages? I'm hoping to be opening a Wii on Monday morning, so I'm interested in how it works.

Well, I would say that it works better than the DS browser. Typing is a bit cumbersome, and the Flash included is only version 7, but I've been able to load up fairly high-resolution pictures and videos. Although, if you're on a DSL connection, it might be sorta slow. Fiber works great though!

That's not bad (especially for free). Although the PS3 browser is pretty good overall, I can't see myself getting a PS3 anytime soon, so it will have to do for browsing on the tube. Also, you may want to check out http://www.wiicade.com , which is just a collection of Flash games that work with the Wii browser and are optimized for wiimote=mouse control. Looks good! Hopefully I'll be able to try it out on Monday!

Its almost as fast as using a PC, its nothing like the DS browser. I've had no problems displaying complex pages, it uses the same layout engine as Opera's desktop browsers and you rarely get a page that can't be displayed.

You should all check out sites like YouTube and Google Video, now you can watch it all through your TV.
