Do any of you guys get motion sickness while playing games?
I do after playing almost every first-person view game, my breathing gets shallow, my heartbeat rises, stuff like that.
Is it normal? Is there a way to cure it?

PS. I never get t his while playing racing games

Only one game ever gave me motion sickness, and that was Extreme-G for the N64. Fucking Acclaim. Good game though.

There's no real cure for motion sickness, much like there's no real cure for people who get seasick, carsick, or airsick. It's just something you'll have to live with. Just stay away from FPS and be glad you aren't epileptic.

I get a little dizzy from FPSes that use the "gun bob" effect, as well as playing on a monitor with 60Hz refresh rates. Other than that I don't feel anything.

I think it helps if you don't forget to breathe properly while you play, and you don't play in a room that's too darkly lit. You can also try sitting further away from your monitor, so you can sort of see the outside world in your peripheral vision. And make sure your monitor's refresh rate is not set too low, well... I guess that'll just give you a headache, not get you game-sick.

agh.

i hate motion sickness. D:

I usually only get it from games that move the camera view around alot, so FPS is horrible for me.
