So has anybody signed up?
I did a few days ago, skill level 17.

Why did they choose to make the game free?
I'm a little skeptical.

So what's it like? Is it just another Korean mmo? Or is there something cool that sets it apart?

Besides really great graphics?

Can't really say for myself, I'm pretty new to MMORPGS.

I got a friend who plays pretty avidly I believe his chars are like 90+ now, I tried the game not a big fan, the whole control 3 chars at once innovative I guess but not my cup of tea mate, I take it classic One Account one Hero! I've played quite a few MMOS most notably World OF WarCraft, the DAY I got to 70 my friends quit and started playing a different game. /cry ~_~;

I've played (Philippines) Granado every now and then until it went pay to play. Just signed up at Sword of the New World 2 weeks ago. Level 30 now.

Good points of the game:

Soundtrack: Many of the tracks in the game were composed by SoundTeMP, S.F.A, Kim Junsung, and Kubota Osamu. Others were contributed by DJ Tiƫsto and related production outfits. The musical score is unique as it intermixes modern themes with more classical and Baroque pieces.

Creator: Developed by imcGAMES (headed by CEO Hakkyu Kim, the creator of Ragnarok Online, one of the world's most popular MMOs)

Graphics: awesome

Gameplay: you already have a team of 3, so it's not nessasry to always party with other people. There's a variety of quests to do, and and a lot of the older audience (college aged and even older) seems insterested in it, unlike most Korean MMOs.

I'll never know how good ragnarok is, since I didn't like the graphics and stopped playing it after a few minutes. I've played (and enjoyed, at least for a while) ROSE online, and then Flyff. This game is on a different level from those.

I really like the music and the graphics they are on par with other retail games ~ such as lineage 2, the game play just turned me off tho. And I was so excited to play a freaking Musketeer to.
