Import DS games. (10)

I'm thinking of importing some japanese ds games from playasia, as we're not exactly spoiled for choice in the english-speaking world. Anyone have a suggestion for an essential import? I particularly like those games which are limited edition, in a special box etc.

I'm trying to think of something, but I'm coming up blank. Most decent Japanese DS games either have been localised, or will be soon. If rhythm action's your thing you could go for the two Ouendans and Taiko no Tatsujin I suppose. And if you're in the US, get the European version of Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland (or even the Japanese if you speak it), since I suppose that counts as an import from your perspective/

>>2 I didn't know Europe got Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland. Hah.

I believe that Tingle's Rosy Rupeland will be in the US soon, but I don't know.

Also, I hear Jump Ultimate Superstars is good, as well as what >>2 said. Maybe Band Bros also?

Band Bros. is possibly the best DS game ever to not have a single similar version released outside Japan. It's also one of the most customisable games ever, thanks largely to savegame editors but also to Nintendo who released downloadable songs themselves (in Japan only, naturally.)

Why... oh why did they not release an English version... it was initially scheduled too.

Get a flashcard with a TF microSD card, and download jap roms.

Get Band Bros., since Nintendo is apparently oblivious to its hardcore appeal, and will never bring it over.

...I'm still trying to figure out why the Jump games haven't been brought over. They'd do well with the popularity of... well... all of the SJ licenses right now.

I think part of the problem might be that no single US company owns all the licences.
