PS3 backwards compatibility and memory (2)

Hello everyone,

I heard that the 40, 60 and 160 GB PS3 systems have several problems with the backwards compatibility for PS2 games. The 20 GB version seems to be the only one I haven't heard anything of.

Would that one work with PS2 games?

And would there be any way to extend the disk space from 20 GB to something higher? I can imagine 20GB won't last too long for someone like me.

There is a table of SKUs on wikipedia if you haven't already seen it (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ps3#Retail_configurations).

Unfortunatly all of the four models that had backwards compatiblity, are now discontinued and somewhat hard to obtain.

The hardware models were meant to have a higher title BC count, but the software models should still be pretty good.

As for extending storage, the hdd's are replaceable. There are many guides around on how to do it, check out http://www.gamersreports.com/article/43/
