Some random Nokia phone. C5? I can barely read the model number it's so small.
It has a touch screen which I hate. I never cared for touch screens. They're a silly gimmick and you can't beat the feeling of real buttons.
Some really old Nokia thing. I don't use it much. It has an LED flashlight on the top, which is useful.
I broke my old cellphone so I bought a new (more modern) one, Samsung GT-S3350. It has an AZERTY (french to QWERTY) keyboard, which is perfect for my needs.

I agree on the touchscreen thing. It's so much slower. With buttons, muscle memory kicks in and you can operate the device and type on it without even looking. You can't do that with a flat surface.

I KNOW WHAT PHONE YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. THAT THING IS TANK. It was my first phone. Fucking indestructible. When I switched to a new one me and my friends actually worked together to try to render it inoperable. Most of the outer casing had broken off but it still worked. I wish more phones were like that ol' Nokia. All phones today fucking smash if you sneeze near them.
I currently have a Samsung Galaxy, the slider one not the smart phone. This phone is pretty tank too, but not as much as my old Nokia. I don't really like smart phones much. A minor web browser and a camera are the most non-phone things I'd ever want a phone to do.
I'm saving my money to get a Nokia X2.

I still use a Motorola v60. It has the following features:
Jerks send me offers to upgrade and I throw them straight away. This phone continues to work and I continue to make calls from deep in the wildest jungles where cellular coverage is but a rumor for users of lesser phones!

My uncle had the first cell phone that I ever saw. It was a bag phone, basically. You carried it around in its own little purse and it had a separate handset on a cord.

My parents had one. It was boss. It weighed like a pound and there was nothing more satisfying than the clunk sound it made when you opened it. Substantial monthly access fee (?$50) plus $1.99/min. We didn't chit-chat. It was for SERIOUS BUSINESS ONLY.

Samsung Omnia, inherited from my sister. Since my first cell phone, I have a policy of not buying them, but getting old ones from people around me. Buying phones is almost like buying air, given the surplus and turnover.
A Samsung flip-phone of some sort. I suppose I'd eventually like a smartphone, but it doesn't bother me to stick with this guy.

It'd be convenient at times I couldn't be bothered to whip out a netbook, such as when reading e-books, listening to music, playing little games or browsing the web. Better than carrying around five books, a Rubik's cube and that netbook everywhere.

It's truly the bottom of the barrel among Keitais, but one of these days I'll buy some expensive Chinese version of a Sharp phone, because they're all totally unlocked per default.

First things first, Japanese phones are usually locked in all kinds of ways, and they need to be unlocked using intrusive methods if you want to use it on your foreign network.
You can either buy a Software Unlocked phone, or you can buy a Hypersim to unlock them. A Hypersim is like another thin simcard you put over your real simcard, and you can then use your phone on your gaijin network. It works with almost all models, but it's unreliable and breaks down all the time, and annoying tricks are needed to get it to work again. Would not recommend. The other way to use it on foreign networks is to buy a Software Unlocked phone. It's what it sounds like; Someone has edited the firmware to allowed it to be used on non-Japanese networks. This is the best option, as it all works just fine. In the old days only a few phones had this option, and it was expensive, but now the main companies Softbank (I would guess Sharp too) can unlock phones for you in-house, so there are a lot more choices on the market. But it costs extra.
However, note this; Almost all the special features on your new shiny phone WON'T WORK; because most is still locked to Japan despite the hypersim/software unlock. So you won't be able to use Internet, MMS, or other cool features. You will ONLY be able to call or SMS. There are a few exceptions, but assume it will be non-functional. There's a way around this crap. Sharp makes phones for Japan, but also for Taiwan and China. They're almost exactly the same phones, but the Chinese phones are always fully unlocked per default, and with functional internet, TV, etc..
Now, you can take the easy route and buy from Ebay, J-Phone.ru, or Zeroxkeitai.com. That saves you all the hassle of importing. Otherwise, buy from Japanese Yahoo or from Softbank/Sharp themselves, but assume it will cost much more. If you want a Chinese phone, use Ebay or find a reliable Taobao agent, then buy a phone from there (Taobao is Chinese Ebay, more or less). If you know what you're doing you can find a 480x854, 8megapixel flipphone for less than 300 dollars, easy.
As for models, Here are a few good Chinese versions, there are less choices compared to the Nipponese side;
SH7218U, SH0902C, WX-T930
As for Japanese versions, there are a ton of valid choices, but I would only buy the super cheap versions since they're all feature crippled anyway, like the 740sc or 707sc. But I'd like the super cool SH-10C, if I had the money, because despite it's non functional 3G internet it actually has working Wifi. Check ZeroxKeitai's site, he has the cheapest Japanese phones around.
Obviously, buying Keitais requires research and dedication, it's not as simple as checking Ebay for five minutes.

All I really need is goof interface, photo/video camera, web browser, QR code reader. Not a touch screen. Can one of the Chinese ones you posted do all that?

All of them have that. The SH7218U has both touch and normal keypad like a regular flip-phone. But it has Android and a mediocre quasi-smartphone battery, so if you yearn for a more classic phone the SH0902C is a good choice(Not SH09020C, because 20C doesn't have 3G), but most people use the non-3G version so I don't know if there are any dealbreaker differences between 2C and 20C.
SH7218U runs for ~250 USD on Taobao with shipping and such. 350 on ZeroXKeitai. Many use this one, and I'd buy it despite Android and all.
The SH0902C you can find for 130 or less on Taobao.
The WX-T930 is a super slick, but hard-to-find Taiwanese version, but if you wait you can find one on Taobao for around 150. There are other random sites too which stock it.
They are all cheap as shit for how good and well built they are, and there are many more models, of course, but these are the phones I would consider.
