Gimp is my biggest pet peeve ever.

In 1998 it looked like Gimp would soon catch up with Photoshop. Then development went dead, and what eventually popped out (2.0) was underwhelming. The braindead interface hadn't changed either.

Gimp is free if your time has little value and you enjoy being frustrated.
