Does somebody also feel like they are about to overflow? I don't mean like explode or something, 'tis just, it feels like I've been saving all this "love"(or some abstract notion of it) and would just like to give it out to someone, you know, just HAVE someone care for, but don't.

That's the reason I hate winter. It's cold outside, so everybody tries to stay inside, and when you stay inside, you have to make extra effort to meet people you like lest you be reminded of how lonely you actually are. And with each day nearing to New Year's Eve, you see friends and people going around happily with their loved ones, hand in hand, smiling, and you feel the cold draft of winter even more.

Even mundane meetings with your friends seem like mana from heaven at this time of year for me.

I can identify with your first paragraph. But I do like winter!

Oh lawd I'm a loser :D

It seems I have fallen in love with the idea of love. And relationships and romance and all that good shit. Largely my inspiration of this has come from fictional sources. Television, books, stories. And observing other people in real life. And from ridiculously limited personal experience. This concept that I have and have developed this perverse fascination with probably has no actual or possible referent in reality. It's probably all bullshit. But delicious bullshit, that will remain perfect. Perhaps it is best this way, and I should keep it this way. I love you Anonymous, for reading this :)

In my experience with dating for the past eight years, >>3, that's the best way to go about things. If you ever become disenheartened with the idea of love, it won't mean as much once you get to experience it.

Happy holidays, anonymous. And good luck. Sure, real life is a lot of fighting, and angst, and negotiation, and lust... but once in a while, it's storybook, and worth every childhood memory.
