Gay culture. (19)

Alright kids. I'm a 20 year old lesbian that's spent a lot of time shying away from gay culture. I went to an arts school in highschool and was doused with enough of it unwillingly to make me never want to actively involve myself in it. I didn't really have to, either. Gay relationships weren't that odd in my school so it was perfectly okay to ask a girl out.

Problem is that I'm not an artist so I went to a normal university where the gay population is unspoken out of the GSA. I don't really want to be -that- kind of lesbian that wears rainbow bracelets and pins and goes to all the meetings and shouts it from the rooftops, but I haven't had a girlfriend in three years and right now it'd be kind of nice.

Any advice on how a lesbian puts herself out there without becoming GaY pRyDe DyKe GrRrl~~?

Im not sure. Im not actually gay but have been know to be attarcted to people of both sexes. I find it almost as easy to meet women as i do men. Just behave how you did when you were at school and it was easy... im sure you will get the hang of it.

a lot of women are now open to same sex relationships, and also a lot of lesbians (if you ask them) are very open about their sexuality... and once you meet one she is sure to have friends.

hope that doesnt sound arrogant/preachy or anythign else because its not ment to.

good luck :)

That applies only to bisexual and homosexual women. No, you'll never find a straight woman you can turn into a lesbian

Are you asking how to behave yourself, or how you could meet other people like yourself?

This idea is gonna sound REALLY dumb, but have you tried Facebook? (Assuming it has your school, of course, which it probably does.)

You can set your preferences to "women", and search for other girls who did the same. While it won't help much with your presentation, it'll give you an idea of who to talk to.

Of course, not EVERY lesbian/bi girl at your school will be that open about it, but maybe this would give you a starting point, at least. /shrug

I'm asking how the hell lesbian girls manage to meet eachother without getting involved in all that ridulous gay pride crap. Not only am I not interested in doing that, but most of the girls I've met that are make me want to surgically remove my clitoris.

Wow that's a really tough one.

I find that hanging with the right group of people, you will meet more of their type. My friends are openly bisexual and some of them do have gay relationships... but yeah it's hard not to brand them cause they're all into the goth/loli shit.. and at least a few of them have piercings.

They tend to 'congregate' but you might find some more normal people along the sides, like I have. xD

There's a reason for every prejudice. Maybe most lesbians are bulldykes, and most videogame/anime fans are social inept losers.

YES. As a Bisexual, I find the whole "Gay subculture" thing to be really annoying, and the perpetuation of such stupid social constructs within it- "tops" and "bottoms", "butch" and "femme"... I remember one time, I had sex with this guy, and it was a pretty intense session where I was the "giver/top". Afterwards, I offered the guy reciprocation, but the guy was like "I can't get even so much as hard unless I'm being fucked in the ass or if I'm sucking dick, sweetie... I can't even masturbate!" and I'm like O_o Oookay. That kinda shit is so stupid, I don't really get it at all. That and there seems to be an overabundance of bottoms in this society >_>;;

People are lazy. Hence so many bottoms.

And you're a joke. Get your mouth out of other people's bedrooms unless you plan on putting it to good use.
