Rekindling an old long distance relationship (7)

To start, I am one of those people who have never had a "irl" girlfriend in the last 18 years and focus all their time and attention in other areas of life like school, hobbies, friends.

With one exception; I was fortunate enough at the age of 14 to have developed a relationship with a Japanese Pen pal (hence the dawn of weeaboohood). And yes, I have confirmed without a doubt that she is who she is. We were together from late 2002 - 2004, when we had a lapse in communication (I blame myself), followed by another period of communication in the second half of 2005 which ended 13 months ago. In the meantime I have attempted to start a handful of other relationships that have collapsed before they started, and although they were all unique situations, I made the mistake of talking about her to each of these girls.

So I find myself at a crossroads now; Is it smart to try to find another person despite holding a candle for the same girl for the last 4 years, or do I swallow my pride and write back in an attempt to rekindle a relationship with the only person I've truly cared about.

Now I ask you 4-ch, what is the best course of action to take? Or am I not aware of factors I should have realized by now?

God, just give up on her.

She's in Japan. She probably has boyfriends all over her, or doesn't want any. In any case, you're probably not real to her. She would never meet you in real life.

Find a real girl.

She really cute and about my age. Here's the problem im a straight up nerd D&D, World of warcraft Ect and im fat not grossly fat but im about 20 pounds overweight so anyway what should i do? shes flirted with me many times & apparently has never been kissed (HAWT) so what should I do???

Go ahead and write it, But don't get your hopes completely up. Consider your chances are low. And also determine if you have the ability to make the relationship real, or rather, actually have the money to atleast visit her once a year. Or even if one of you two are willing to move.

Although honestly, The chances aren't very much in your favor. So it might just be better to give up. But I say message her for some closure at the very least.

If you truely love her... then let her know. It can't hurt to try. Long distance relationships can work. It just depends on how much you guys are willing to work at it.
