Okay, I was homeschooled so have no exp. with women. I am good at conversation in a number of intellectual fields so how do I find a girl with something in common with me?.

Because of my background I have not really been able to go to college, am 27 years old and never had employment except for selling some stuff on ebay. In my time I have read tons of books
but will my knowledge impress anyone?.

Or is it like Tony Montana said in Scarface "In this country, you gotta make the money first. ... Then when you get the power, then you get the women."

Brains never, ever cause bras to spontaneously unhook.

Money and Power (whether physical, political or other) is truthfully a far better display.
There's also physical appearance, unattainability, artistry, fame and the old fallback of personality.
Sexual performance helps, but you have to get to that point through another method (and, no, not rape).

That depends on what the OP wants

Using methods like >>2 described is a good way to get simply laid, but from the way your post sounds, it seems as if you want some relationship worth its water.

Whenever I go to white house parties, I usually end up getting drunk like mad and forcing a political, historical or controversial topic started with a few girls and we start going back and forth. There's always a girl or two who sticks with it and keeps debating till the end of the night with me, and we usually end up on gooooood terms with each other :D

If you're not into house parties, go to college man! Even if you're home schooled, you can take a maturity test (Atleast, in Canadian colleges/universities). Even aim for taking a night course or two. A lot of people around your age in school are there to learn and grow, not to party like the 18-22 year olds. So it's a good place to find a chick with brains, or something.

But knowledge alone won't do anything.
Personality is key in any situation, to get laid, to get a gf, to make friends, business contacts, whatever.

And how you present yourself will also aid in a large factor on what kind of girl you can land.

As far as my appearence goes, I feel pretty above average. I am 6ft 3in tall and have nice hair, Girls have even come up to me and asked to touch my hair and then thanked me.

I am into music and have a guitar which is always a plus. I just need to refine my small talk and not find myself at a loss for words when speaking to a girl.

Sounds like your shouldn't have trouble attracting one, with your stature and hair.
The best way to work on conversation is to converse. Try starting conversations with approachable women you're not interested in, so you wont be disappointed if you fail.
Also, perhaps you're ignoring clues of women that might be interested in you.

He might not be ignoring the clues, but perhaps he isn't good at seeing the clues in the first place. I know I'm like that, so I figure others must have the same problem.

hehe, almost guaranteed :) Since you're a guitarist, join a band. Good looking guy playing guitar? You'll have women falling all over you and the skills will form naturally with experience.
