i like this girl right, so i wanna ask her on a date. where are some good places to take her? im thinking like, a casual resturant perhaps? because that way, i we can get to know each other in a laid back environment. what are your thoughts on this?

For a first date, if you feel easy to eat and talk with the girl at the same time, go ahead. I would prefer to take a walk with her in a nice quiet place or just have drink with her in the afternoon.

ask her out for coffee or to go get a drink or something. something a little more simplistic and talk about each other and go from there.

If you're already friends, I'd ask her to a local opera or any other kind of performance. You can get tickets for local performances for under $10. If you don't know her too well, go with a quiet restaurant, a coffee shop, or a picnic (If you're in some place warm).

Well,...

Since you are in a warm place, going to the park is a good idea. You can talk, and when you don't have anything to say you can walk, stare the landscape, etc.

And often there are bars or cafés near parks, and a stop by one would be neat.

I say a nice coffee shop. You can talk to her, but being in a public place shows you're not rushing in to being intimate (being alone has that connotation sometimes) with her. It'll make her more comfortable, and a coffee shop is a classy, casual way to get to know her.
