No, it means give her your number or even better get her number as well and call her and arrange to meet up. Also, not enough information provided to even hazzard a guess whether that means friendly drinks (e.g. with a group) or a more private drink with just the two of you (more like a "date", wanting to get to know more about you before commiting to further dates)

It's like you think that girls are an alien race or something...

I agree with >>2, anyhow. I think it pretty much meant, I'll give you one chance for a very casual date and then decide whether you're good enough or not.

Manage to get her number, not to give yours. Or if you do give yours, manage to get hers anyway.

>well she asked me how long Have I liked her..and i kinda choked and said that it was only recently so i guess im hooped

If a girl asks for your number, you tell her, "Only if you give me yours first"

By giving her your number, you set yourself up to be the one waiting on her. That's a very wimpy situation to be in.

When you see her again tell her "You forgot to give me your number." and get it from her. After a few days, call her and invite her to drinks. If she says yes, proceed with date. If she says no but makes a different offer, proceed with date. If she makes an excuse and doesn't make a different offer, sorry, no bite.

There I disagree. Either pull out another date, using something along the lines "oh wait, thank you for reminding me, I have something to do that evening anyway, so what would you say about xxxxxxx", OR ask her "well, when would you available then?" (maybe after joking about her businessman agenda).

If she evades that, then OK, it's dead. But the sole fact that you say this (and I must insist that you have to say it naturally and confidently) might decide her.
