To ask, or NOT to ask?! (6)

I've liked this guy for some time now, since we were classmates 2 years ago. I told my friend, which was a big mistake since she mouthed it to the whole class. He knew that I liked him and it caused him to avoid me.

This dragged on till this year, we're both 16 but in different classes. I bravely asked him to a movie VIA Msn two months ago & he said yes! The movie basically SUCKED and I had to rush home because of curfew.
In short, the date -> disaster!

Before the date ended, I had asked him to another movie; Kung Fu Panda, since I know it'd be a comedy and a make-up for the sucky movie. But recently, he's been hanging around a girl in his class. I see them together(with his friends, sorta like a group) all the time.

As the date of KUNG FU PANDA gets nearer(only a few more days till!), Im wondering if I should ask him out again or not. Of course we'll be going as 'friends'... I think. Because on our last sucky date, he said that this was a 'friends' date. It's kind of obvious where this is going.

I still want to hang out with him, but if he really has a girlfriend, how am I supposed to ask?
Dilemma!11!11!!!

Have a normal convo with him and then outa the blue ask him about the upcoming date. Also just ask him if he has a girlfriend. I'd look worse if you ask his friends and then that friend tells everyone. And ask your parents about coming home after curfew so your date wont end like last time so you'll get to hang out with him afterwords.

Just be straightforward and say that you have liked him for awhile and want to know if he's open to really dating.
