Hey guys. Just came back a few hours fresh from a first date, and I have some doubts that only the internets can assuage. While we clicked pretty well on a mental level and the date went smoothly, I can already get the sense that he likes me far more than I do him.

See, I've always had a problem with saying no, and before I knew it he was giving me bedroom eyes after some five minutes of on-and-off PDA. I'll be honest-- I'd never done this shit before, and I couldn't think of a harmless, gracious way to back out without spoiling the nice non-awkward mood. Playing along after that came more naturally, and you have to know that I'm not trying to villify him-- this was my fault for leading him on.

The second thing is more problematic-- physically, I'm not attracted to him in the least.

My options:

  1. Find some way of breaking it off asap without looking inconsistent, being mean.
  2. Let it go on for another month, after which I will move away. This thing has an expiry date, and he knows it.
  3. Um.

Your thoughts? I'm prepared for a moral lecture.

How do I delete.

There's no way this can end in a pretty way. You'll simply have to go out there and see what kind of damage your recklesness can cause. That struggle to hide the pain from his face when you tell him there can be nothing. His kind pretending to believe you when you say it's not him but you, that will make you wish he'd just punch you in the face instead so you could feel less of an asshole. Oh yeah, bitch, you're gonna have to eat this all up.

Don't fucking pussy out, accept the fact that you fucked up, and reap what you've sown. That at least will let you bring some improved character from this mess, make you grow a few inches... Maybe the best few inches of your whole, disfigured character.

Also, now I'm gonna laugh at you for doubleposting, that's so stupid you really do suck don't you? Haharbgl.. wait let me get this right. ...HahahaHAAA!

First things first, it's OKAY to not be in to somebody because you aren't attracted to them physically. This isn't superficial; it's pretty basic.

That being said, you're basically a horrible human being for having done this to him. Almost even more than you owe it to yourself, you owe it to others to only date people you actually have an interest in. Grow a pair and tell him he isn't your type.

And then don't fucking do this again.

What a typical woman...LOL ATTENTION ATTENTION ATTENTION WAIT YOU HAVE FEELINGS LOL WHAT ARE THOSE HEY YOU'RE PAYING FOR LUNCH RIGHT?

after only one date, i think he won't be too heartbroken if you said "i don't want to date, but i want to use you for sex until i leave"

Nerd rage ITT.

Don't listen to these assholes, OP. It's not your fault you couldn't bring yourself to get rid of him sooner, and if he gets all emo over it that's his problem - you don't owe him anything. However, it'll be worse the longer you leave it, so just break up with him quick, like ripping off a bandage.

While this might be the American Way to do things (i.e. completely for one's self) it's really not the right way to approach it due to a couple of reasons:

  1. It's simply not morally right. You led him on, you need to lead him off.
  2. You don't know him. He could be a Bipolar I patient on medicine, and the "lead on, fuck off" approach could possibly break the effect of his medication. You have no idea what he will do to you at that point.
  3. If you ever change your mind about the guy, you're fucked. I know of a few occasions where I was not attracted to a girl (I'm a dude) but the more I thought about them or hung around them, the more attractive they got.

But then again women are deceitful, money hungry, muscle-loving bitches. He could be the best husband ever but you'd still pick some huge over-inflated asshole over him. So it doesn't really make a difference what anyone says.

Right ok. Doesn't matter how repulsive you find this guy OP, you owe him at least one mercy fuck. Cuz y'know, he might have a mental problem or something, and it's totally your responsibility deal with his shit for him.

What? Got your own life to live and you own problems to deal with? Well then fuck you, you deceitful, money hungry, muscle-loving bitch.

You're fucking retarded.
No one here's been saying anything about a mercy fuck, it's true she doesn't owe him anything, except the truth and a kind apology.

Exactly. I never said she had to marry the guy!

But having a "lead on fuck off" approach is selfish and horrible, like I wrote in my post.

All I said was that she needs to care about his feelings and let him down easy.

Break it off, don't sugar coat it, don't tell him that you just want to be friends, just say you're not interested and move on.

Just cut off all contact.

Just break his heart, miserable creature. You've done most of the work already.
