Why hasn't any girl ever liked me? (13)

I just can't figure it out. Seems like every one of my male friends has had at least one girl like him. As for me, it's like I'm not even human.

No one has ever let me know that a girl was interested in me, and no girl has ever thrown any signals at me. I see girls throw signals at my friends all the time, so it's not like I can't identify them.

I'm 18, and I just don't know that the hell is wrong. Anyone here going through a similar situation? How does one deal with such a massive confidence drainer?

I was once in your boat. I seriously thought that no one will like me and I am just an ugly waste of flesh and blood. Then I met my girlfriend and I knew that at least one person like me. We broke up about a year ago but I did not let that effect me. My confidence never went down, because in my head that at least one person in my lifetime liked me. And if there was one, there has to be more. And honestly I feel like that is true for everyone, that one person has to like you despite your looks. Life cannot be that cruel.

I'm in a similar situation.

I was very popular in school and tons of girls asked me out. I went out with some, it never worked. Everyone only noticed my body and face, nobody my intellect. Ever.

So while girls seemed to like me, it was only superficial. Nobody ever liked my personality :^(

Dude. I've been using the internet for, like, 100 years and it has never, ever occurred to me to use a "^" as a nose in a smiley emoticon until I read your post just now. You're pretty cool in my book. :^)

You're a weak coward who waits for girls to make the first move. Why would they want your genes?

No, it's allright if you are 18.

I've gotten 22...

Anyway, others are right.
Try to make a move, don't just sit down and wait.

Try to see if your friends are doing anything different from what you do, since you seem to think they're more successful.

Don't worry, >>1, you're only 18. There is still time.

Still though, don't wait for the girls to ask you out. That rarely happens unless the girl is bold (or tired of waiting). Make a move. Grow a pair and make the girl you want feel special.

>>8 is right. Even I (being female) thought the guy I asked out was a coward, though I loved him. It didn't end well, and I'm still broken-hearted.
