Question for the guys (34)

I've always been self-conscious about my body. Because of my dad's genes, I have a lot of body hair for a female, and I always try to cover that fact up whenever I'm with anyone outside of my family.

I just want to ask the guys on this board though: does body hair / arm hair / leg hair really matter when you're in a relationship?

2 Name: Secret Admirer : 2009-03-09 23:58 ID:mrWrJlRB

It depends on several factors like hair color, skin tone, length, coarseness, etc. So long as you aren’t a wolf it’s cool.

3 Name: Secret Admirer : 2009-03-10 00:00 ID:PGggJObD

Well, I'm pretty pale, even for an Asian, so that means my hair is black >_<. I don't think the length is extremely long, but is that still okay?

If you have a problem with it being super-dark and coarse, just get it bleached or waxed. Waxing it will make it thinner over time, and bleaching will make it considerably less noticeable if you don't mind the feel of the hair and thoroughly bleaching the crap out of it. Don't want orange hair on your arms, now.

Every girl has leg hair and armpit hair; these are usually shaven or waxed or whatever does it for you.

Arm hair, unless it's really dense, isn't too bothersome (even if really dark).

What do you mean by "body hair"?

Yes, yes it is a problem. Leave chewbacca at home. Shave, get waxed, however you choose. It will make you look so much better.

>>3 That doesn’t sound too bad. I’ve met girls before with noticeable arm hair and thought they were extremely attractive.

ah... people opinion r many and differents...

gut lemme say this, just go with the majority of all women.
thats will be the best option for you... or ask your friends(girl).

I dunno, look at yourself in the mirror. If you have to stand fairly close to the mirror in order to really see the hair, then it's probably not a big deal. Otherwise, shave or wax your legs and pits like every other girl and wax any other hairy spots.

>>1 it depends on people's taste. Usually men care much less about it than women. I think the most important is that you find a level that you feel comfortable with, considering that you should also be comfortable in maintaining it in the long run.

If you are manic about shaving your hair, and suddenly get fed up and stop doing it, your boyfriend will get a shock. It's much better to let your hair grow and go out with someone for whom that's a non issue. And that's a basic principle in any relationship: don't do things you can't stand in the long run.

Actually I don't care, and also I love armpit hair and crotch hair, etc.
Don't shave! It's erotic!
Also, it'll grow back with vengeance and you'll have nasty stubble.

I have body hair all over my body. Almost like a gorilla. I'm very insecure about it. I've tried that hair removal cream stuff. It worked but it grew back so deadly like crazy. I bet the amount of the hair on my back has doubled or tripled than before.

It's scaaaarrryy!!!

Yeah, but you're a guy.

14 Name: Secret Admirer : 2009-03-12 19:15 ID:TQRSO/Wm

If you dont have a mustache or a unibrow dont worry!

If it makes you feel more confortable shave the armpit and your legs.
If a guy loves you he wont care.

It's not really what you asked, but when looking at women outside of a relationship, I don't look at their arms or legs. As long as their is no signs of growth on your face or cleavage you're gold... and if you do you can always spend a half-hour each day eliminating visible body hair or getting it down to just a smooth fuzz. Most beautiful women don't wake up that way, they have to work at it.

personally i prefer girls without hair in legs and armpit nor mustache...

17 Name: Secret Admirer : 2009-03-19 16:04 ID:Jf4g60qW

my fiance really only shaves her armpits and legs when we have to go out somewhere, and it doesn't bother me at all. her arms have noticable hair, but it's way less than a guy anyway, I don't even notice.

Had a conversation with my (male) roommate about this last night, after I got out of a marathon shower, which was mostly spent shaving. In his opinion, leg hair is fine by him, but armpit hair is gross. Oh, and "If you have hairy boobs, shave them."

>>18 seems like a reasonable guy. I still have to meet a woman with noticeable boob hair.

20 Name: Secret Admirer : 2009-03-19 17:08 ID:QFYDjdzN

Nothing wrong with hairs legs or armpits. As long as there's no mustachio I don't care. Let's face it, we're hairy creatures so what the hell's the big deal. And pubic hair? All systems go! A hairless cunt just seems wrong once you get past puberty. I want to have sex with a woman, not a hairless little girl.

Me neither. Its really weird to even think about it.

Being in a relationship you expect your mate to be a bit more tolerable with you, granted. At the same time, its not a 'carte blanche' to let yourself go. True, you no longer have to package the good as to attract a mate. But ask yourself, would you care if your man stopped keeping up his facial hair. What about wearing decent clothing? You expect him to keep a certain level of presentation yes? I [personally] think that things like girls shaving their legs and armpits is part of that. You should probably talk to your man about it though, its his girlfriend we're talking about here.

p.s. I used to find body hair on a girl pretty hot. Doesn't strike my radar anymore but its definitely not a turnoff.

Hairy boobs are just fine... if you don't mind being in a relationship with a guy that wears a cartoon fox suit during sex.

23 Name: a guy : 2009-03-27 10:34 ID:V0pBEAIB

24 Name: Secret Admirer : 2009-03-27 18:45 ID:YsWsXEW+

fuck. hairy boobs are gross. pull the hairs out. its so bad getting one of those in your mouth while sucking on the nips.
would you like it if your boyfriend just walked around in public looking like a homeless fuck?
think of it from his point of view.
