It feels strange coming here and asking this..

I've known this guy for quite a long time (at least five years) online and we pretty much hit it off as sort of friends/boyfriends, but due to mental issues and such (despite me going to school close to where he lives for a semester and his numerous attempts to want to meet me recently) we never actually met in real life. I sort of liked that (and preferring to be alone with the idea of having someone close to have meaningful contact with) and figured nothing was so bad about it, but he's been getting irritated at me that I do nothing with him (not even talk to him with voice or play games with him) and that I have no interests nor wants I can think of (he's pretty much right).

Neither of us get out much and hate being around people (in fact I literally never go out and haven't had a job/school in years due to issues), so I doubt either of us will break apart, but I'm not sure what I should do to better ourselves or to not be so apathetic and boring towards everything.

It sounds like you two or at least you have a perspective that what you have is good enough and you may not want to risk anything changing too much. Personally, I say if you want to move further, you have to break out of the shell some and provoke some change or else things may stay like this.
