I'm considering taking this up, as I liked the Love Hina manga. The mixed reactions I've seen to it are a little discouraging. Is it at least funny?
Save me googling, got a link?
I like it. It's got the same charm Love Hina did, although it does drag on a bit at times.
I find it amusing, but only when I'm in the mood. MSN has a frantic pace and emotional intensity to it.
It's been quite a while since I read Love Hina, but unless my memories have been tainted by nostalgia I cannot say it's as good. Akamatsu really needs to tone it down, not to mention do something about his plot which continues to become even more far-out as time goes by.
If you don't want to accidentally waste your money you can always go and read the scans first and then decide.
well i think this series is very good .. it has it's funny moments just like the love hina series (that ecchi funny stuff)...
but i was curious..does anyone know if this series is still being subbed? the sub is up to chapter 66 and i hear the raw is up to chapter 80 now..and the series has gotten so good now that i can't wait to see what happens next..but sadly it seems it hasn't been subbed as of lately...
I heard that Negima has already reached chapters 72 and above, all translated. Can anyone tell me where to find them? Thanks alot in advance.
Uh...
Borders?
In Japan, Negima reached chap. 91 last week.
See

There are latest, detailed information of Negima.
(But do not ask "Gimme Chap.XX" there.)
Boarders doesn't have past chapter 72 yet, dumb ass.
i'm getting tired trying to find the link to Negima translated scans from Vol 1 till vol 6...any ideas anyone?!

I did the mistake to actually BUY vol 1. I mean, I didn't even like Love Hina at all. And everyone was so "oh shits, negima is so great!", so I listened to them.
After reading the first 20 pages it pissed me off so badly I almost couldn't continue reading it.
I'm such an idiot.

I appreciate the warning, if that's any consolation.
I like Negima myself, but if you didn't like Love Hina, you're not going to like Negima either. So no need to bother.

Thanks, now I feel I actually can make something good out of this, warn people. :p
Ah, actually, I found this site that has 'em... but I've been searching for the link myself, recently >.< Sorry
Well, I bought the first manga on a random whim and loved it. I'm really not the harem or magical anime type, but this appealed to me. I've bought all six that have been released in the US and I don't regret it. It's something to enjoy when... you're not in the mood to think much. ^^
... What I really despise in manga is sugary cuteness. I was a little hesitant to buy something by Ken Akamatsu, but he honestly didn't go overboard with the fact that Negi-sensei is teaching a classroom of "OMG kawaii schoolgirls!!11"
Though, he certainly wasn't conservative with the fanservice. I don't mind. I find some fanservice highly amusing.
buy it
whazzup guys, this is my first time using bbs.
i'ma big fan ofthe series and had the whole collection ( currently till 11th vol)
To those that love love hina, this is a series for you guys too.
To those doesn't know of this manga, read if you like a roller coaster ride of emotion and time frame.
p.s: that guy (ken) till now still insisted he is just playing around n experiment with the whole storyline and stuff.
ok, bye n try notto hate me yeh.
I bought this series at first because I just like the way Akamatsu draws. However, the series has been getting better and better. Yeah, the harem crap gets annoying, but there is more to it than that. Once I got to around vol.4 or 5, I was hooked.
Lately, there have been parts that kinda drug on a bit, but the glorious thing about manga is that you can just skim through the boring crap if you want (like I do).

it's a great series and i hope he could just keep it going with more action
he dragging the story too long some say, i say why not, the man's a genius (to me)
Vol. 11-12 in the US, Chp 160? Can't rememebr but it's a great manga. Unless you loathe this style.
I have up to 12. The negi and takamichi (sp?) fight was awesome!
Well, if you'd like to be uptodate, www.stoptazmo.com has all latest MSN
just between you guys & me, here's a link that take you to this guy here, which have all the latest chpters. ( if stoptazmo just kapuut out in your place)
anyway, the storyline kinda stop these few weeks, i'm getting worried about ken-sensei & hope he's okay there in japan.
