Does battle royale ever get good? (3)

I've seen the movie and I've started reading the manga. Is it the same thing as movie? I'm kind of getting bored with it but people keep saying it's so great and blah blah blah.

What is 4-ch's opinion on this? Is this just weeaboo bullshit or does it actually get good. The type of manga I like are stuff like GANTZ and Berserk.

I personally prefer the novel to the manga and the movie. It's available in English already, and seemed to be quite a few copies of it at the bookstore for a while.
