Ok I had just saw a Morning Musume music video out curiosity. Forgot the name of it but it had them initaly wearing black and the later red/white dresses.

What I am wondering how do these groups get so popular cos I know there are several groups of these kinds in Japan. They are so many of them its hard to keep track who is singing what you start to just concentrating on the suppose the "lead" singer and the rest you just see them as dancing extras. Songs are somewhat catchy though.

I guess the reason why momusu is popular is because it consist of many "really-different" types of girls from many parts of Japan. From Fukuoka to Hokkaido to Tokyo and more. Furthermore, they have their own radio shows & TV shows (jdorama too). They're usually pretty candid and funny, so its fun to watch!
