Alright in a fit of insomnia I began thinking of songs that mention a fictional musician of some sort and decided to make a fictional band using these characters. Here's what I have so far:
Billy Shears (Beatles - Sergenat Pepper). He'll play Base guitar and backing vocals.
Ziggy Stardust (David Bowie - Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars). Obviously he'll play guitar.
Robert Orin Charles Kilroy (Styx - Kilroy was Here). I got him on lead vocals. I haven't actually listened to the Kilroy was Here album, so I'm not exactly sure if they ever mention if he played an instrument.
Here's some others I though of but I haven't decided whether to use them or not:
Jude (Bealtes - Hey Jude). She'd be a female vocalist when/if needed. She can "take a sad song and make it better." I was thinking she could also be a keyboardist.
Jonathan Chance (Styx - Kilroy was Here). Like I stated earlier, never listened to Kilroy was Here, so I don't know much about the story.
I was thinking about adding some of the Sultans of Swing (Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing) but figured they play swing, and I'm trying to make a rock band here.
Does any one know any other fictional rock band members mentioned in songs? I'd like to stay in 60-80s music if possible. I still need a drummer.
