The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), a non-profit organization set up in 1998 at the initiative of the US government has finally given its approval to the .jobs and .travel based domain names. While, they are continuing their discussions on some other under consideration extensions, which includes the highly anticipated .asia base representing the biggest continent on this planet.
We might soon see more domain names being approved by ICANN like the .mobi, .post, .asia, .mail, .tel, and .xxx.
Must... resist... to... make... lame... joke...
blow.jobs
There, I relieved you of your struggle
what, no .blog
that would get rid of half the shitty sites one the web
(・∀・)
needs more .chan
.asia?? All of Asia is one country now?
Also, what's up with .travel when we already have .aero? Lots of important industries are getting slighted while the airplane industry gets two TLDs all to its own. (Yeah, it could be used for travel agencies, but they just represent the airlines.) Where's our .trains, eh?
There's also supposed to be a .eu for Europa this year.

It's funny how the gTLD .com quickly became so popular in the USA that nobody ever saw the neccesity to split interest domains into .biz and .us
