Simply put: are they any good?
Well, I haven't had problems with them, but it kind of depends on what you want. I just have a personal site, which a gallery and stuff.
I know there was problems before with peoples sites getting shut down for going over the cpu minute limit, but they recently did away with that. As long as your site isn't causing problems with others then its all good.
But really, it depends on your needs and what you consider to be good service. They have a 97-day money back guarantee, so you should just try them and see if you like them.
One thing I really love about them is that they increase your webspace and bandwidth every week.
I currently have:
74100 MB Disk space
2041 GB BW per Cycle
Well, I went ahead and bought an account:
20gb space
1tb bandwidth
Unlimited DBs, domains and subdomains
3000 e-mail accounts
75 shell/FTP users
..All for £60 p/a.

If you need many database connections, you might get problems: http://memo.donmai.us/post/view/835
Dreamhost has quite a bang for the buck, and is a good host overall.
Just don't expect them to help you overmuch. If you need support or really cannot afford downtime, you'll need to use a more expensive host.
