Any suggestions? Can irssi work in OS X?
I really like Colloquy
Linkinus if you're willing to pay :20bux:
I compared Colloquy, Ircle, Linkinus, and X-Chat Aqua. By far, X-Chat is my favorite.
currently i'm using Consersation.
Definitely irssi.
Bonus points if you ssh into a remote host and keep it persistent using screen.

I am so sick of seeing these useless one-line "This is superior", "That sucks" type posts. "irssi_proxy is superior". Have you ever stopped to think if you made a post that was actually useful, people might read this board and actually discuss things here? If you can't be bothered to tell us what that is or what you see as its advantages, you could at least include a frickin' LINK.
Otherwise why bother posting at all?
I like Conversation because it looks like a Mac app. Xchat is ok but looks Linuxy. irssi and bitchx are hard work for a Mac user.
What? I'm a Mac user and irssi isn't very hard. I think you mean it's hard for generation 1 Mac users. You know, back when Mac users were dumber than Windows users.
I use Chatzilla, thats very simple.

Maybe U still are.
How do I used irssi on osx
>>16
sudo port install irssi
Seriously, if you can't figure it out, you wouldn't be able to figure irssi out anyway.
There's always X-Chat Aqua if you really need a GUI. I don't really have irssi installed on OS X, I have it on a Linux server inside screen. First thing I do when I log on on any computer is to ssh to it.
