The most weeaboo thing I've done IRL is nyan nyan in public as a joke, and my friends actually got it.
I've never even been to an Anime Con and probably never will go.
I went to Japan to study japanese
I regularly wear cosplay hats and Vash the Stampede glasses in public.
i'm otaku, was in japan, and have a japanese gf.
Re enlisted just for japan.
Went to an anime convention
Most unweeaboo thing: Put on guy fawkes masks and began fucking with gaia players.
visited 4chan
say Desu in front of my friends.
Payed 60 dollars to import daifuku from Japan. It was worth it though, they were really good.
when somebody shouted sexy pose in school a group of my friends (including myself) all gathered and posed in the most disgustingly weeaboo way.
I was ashamed ;p
I was kinda high, and a friend told me to "take it easy", and I replied with "Yukkuri shiteitte ne". I don't know why I did it, must have been the weed.
日本語を習っています。
Currently learning Japanese.
Hm...... I'm gonna say either call my friends by their anime-forum handle IRL, or collect anime/manga/VN figurines.... Oh, or maybe carry on hour-long discussions with friends about VNs?
Worn a .hack//SIGN T-shirt.
Probably gone to an anime con, yeh. Never cosplayed.
I bought a bottle of sake.
But I referred to it as rice-wine, so that neutralizes it completely.
Not weeaboo at all, completely badass.
>>8
haha oh wow. i can buy it from a japanese mall in a city very near me. (no, i'm not living in japan..)
but yes, they are really worth it :3
Imported a limited edition region 2 DVD just for the extra goodie (tarot cards).
Never been to an anime convention, also I will never reveal this hobby to anyone publicly (due to the fact that most fans come off as insipid and I do not want to be associated with that).
spent over 2 hours on this site.
cosplayed in public in country, where the only people, who knew what cosplay is were doing it with me...
Visiting 4-ch, 4chan and dating a Japanese girl just because she was Japanese.
Been to like 6 cons and going to another in april, wear FLCL/Death Note shirts in public, have a bunch of wallscrolls up in my home theater room where - gasp! - guests can see [in my defense all three are from really good shows], haven't full-on cosplayed but I've worn ears and a collar to cons [the lazy man's cosplay, I suppose], well over half of the 1TB of network storage I have between my servers at home is anime, spent at least 2 years as a dedicated /b/tard in the beginnings of it [oldfag is old], almost the entirety of my music collection is jrock/jpop/moonlanguage electronic music.
Whee. :D
And to those who haven't gone, anime conventions are incredibly fun. I guess there's probably some preconception of what goes on at them, but all I can say is the two I regularly frequent in the NW - kumoricon and sakuracon, are best described as three days of absolute chaos and fucking incredible cosplay. :) Good gaming too, and decent merch booths.
And the hilarious expressions of parents who get dragged along by their kids, oh god
>2 years as a dedicated /b/tard in the beginnings of it [oldfag is old]
I lol'd, and then I got really depressed. God I miss old 4-chan.
I sit at the computer all day F5ing imageboards.
You guys are fags.
I've jacked off to gifs of thecat from Trigun.
Fucking losers.
I'm ashamed of myself to say this, but...
I've bought Naruto clothing.
Fuck.
I hang out on Stickam Japan, despite not knowing any Japanese. It's better than the American version though, since it's not infested with scene kids
spent over $3000 on anime figures
>>28
$3000 on one figurine or is this the total sum of figurines acquired so far?
I have a massive collection of hentai manga to which I masturbate regularly. I used to watch hentai anime but manga is so much better.
I wear a Ryo-oki backpack.
I.... I went to Japan and bought a lot of merchandise. (Including realistic dinosaur children's toys, and a Luffy D. Monkey figure.) Nothing I've done can top that. Maybe actually learning the language is...?
Well, I'm trying anyway, but I think I'm still in low-elementary level.
Bought a season of galaxy angel that came with figurines, watched it with a friend and almost died from hysterical laughter. Other than that, I buy candy from japan occasionally, because their candy is fucking bizarre.
Started 5chan.org.
I mimicked the haduken move that Ken and Ryu do from Street Fighter a lot in front of my friends and whatnot. Funny thing is, I'm not even a huge fan of fighting games.
Went to Japan
Attended c77
Bought doujins
Spoke to nobody
Um, I made out with my Spike Spiegel poster when I was 14...
:/
a girl invited me to go with her to an anime con and i said yes.
I've spent about 500 dollars on manga in the past few years. Also surf idlechan for hours on a daily basis [I know]. Eaten a crab once. Uh.. like to listen Lucky Star intro remix and Right said Fred's 'I'm too sexy' while driving down the hood. Yup. That's pretty much all of it.
Bought an anime DVD.
Called it anime and not cartoons.
I fapped to hentai in school.
I fapped to anime fan girls wearing manga skirts.
GAIA losers are on facebook now that it's synced up with Ocean Party shit. I played the game before they let you sync it, and now everyone is fucking adding me on there. I have one friend who started mass adding people from the game as neighbors, and now he keeps suggesting his friends to me. I "liked" the application, and everyone from it started sending me friend requests. This is a great reflection of what gaia users are: PURE SPAMMERS.

what does that have to do with this thread?
Learning Japanese currently. Been to NYAF. Ran a panel at a local Anime Convention. Defended the japanese killing whales. Actually spent time on sites like Sanguku Complex.
tried pocky once. Shit's horrible
>>50 what? it's pretzels. you sure they weren't expired or anything.
They're more like biscuits than pretzels. Pretzels have a taste, the pocky biscuit is cardboardy. The chocolate doesn't help. I'd rather have wasabi peas as they are all that is good and spicy and holy in the Universe.
>>52 you scare me. wasabi peas? really?
wasabi peas are delicious what the fuck you guys?
I used to eat Pocky all the time when I was younger, without knowing that it was Japanese.
I'm dating an Asian girl, and I'm white.
joined the anime club
I've gone to a con a few times, but i'm asian and the con's in asia so it's not weaboo since gundam and shit are mainstream
but i'm in a college in canada so everyone's white.
Heh. I've never been to a con and never will unless I go with friends because they're filled with the scourge of our community(Both anonymous posting boards and someone into touhou etc).
The most weeaboo thing I've done was talk about Lucky star jokingly to make fun of a friend.
I have defended the honorable practice of fapping to Japanese drawn pornography. My friends were confused, and thought less of me.
I'm not much of a weeabo person, but when I was younger I sang loudly to the karaoke in fansubbed anime, mostly together with friends though and over used Japanese words for no apparent reason... the usual stuff...
>>60
Your friends suck! All mine are avid hentai enthusiasts :>
Translated this entire thread into Japanese and back as JLPT practice.
>>63
I think you win. Good luck with that JLPT by the way.
>>63
Can you dump the translated version for us?
Believing high school is or should be the absolute high point of my life.
Regularly browse many weeaboo imageboards and news sites. Collect anime figurines. Have semi-frizzy, beyond shoulder-length hair, and I wear sweatshirts around my waist, with blue jeans and tie-dye shirts; a style I adopt like every day. Have a degree in linguistics.
Belted out the Lucky Star theme; in horrific pitch, while riding a bike at a blazing fast ten miles an hour.
>>68
You bastard, I do that with anime themes too.
~Been to multiple cons
~Wear anime Tshirts and jewelry once in a great while
~Attend a college anime club
~Have lots of manga, DVDs, gashapons, CDs, playing cards, pins, Iwako erasers, etc
~Own books about Japanese history, language, food, culture, fashion, pop culture, sub-cultures, and anime in general
~Buy stuff from Artist Alleys
~Listen to Jpop, Jrock, and anime music regularly
~Adorn my room with Asian décor
And even with all that I'm not super obsessed. Just passionate.
