On the 15th of July, Youtube plans to change the channel design of every user on youtube.

Just a quick glance at the comments shows how many people feel about this.
And myself, I totally agree with them. The new design makes it difficult to open link in new tabs/windows, it looks nasty, it renders slower, and it's generally more cumbersome to use. Hopefully they'll listen to all the uproar, but I'm really not counting on it.
What's your opinion?
Looks awful.
I am disappoint.
It becomes akin to a social website, so it sucks.
I honestly don't understand what google's obsession with this kind of "browsing experience" is.
I mean, sure, it's fancy and "cool", but the functionality is less than its desired for. =/
Eh. I don't particularly give a shit.
people actually use that "channel" shit?
>>6
The 'channel' is basically a user's page. If you've looked at someone's user page to find their videos, you've used a 'channel'.
>>7
who cares who uploads a video? if a video isn't good enough to stand on its own without some idiot's ego attached to it i don't want to see it.

Well, if a particular person is uploading a lot of stuff you're interested in, you might want to check through all the stuff they've uploaded. This process is made more cumbersome thanks to this redesign.
Bumping for no reason
I actually think the beta channel looks kinda decent if a bit cluttered. I wish they would let user's have a choice between the old channels and new channels.
It looks nice but still using the functional old design
i typed something here but the captcha was wrong apparently and i can't be arsed typing it all out again
in summary-
