Why do most blogs require entry of an email address in order to comment? It seems pointless to me... am I missing out on something fantastic by just entering fjhfjgfhgf@sfadsfds.com every time?

they sell those email addresses to spammers.

if the spammers have email addresses to spam they'll be busy doing that instead of spamming blogs with links that are all rel="nofollow" anyway.
