The war was horribly planned from the very beginning. We went in with this plan:

Part 1: Invade Iraq, Take down Saddam
Part 2: (Still being worked on)
Part 3: peaceful democracy.

I knew it was going bad when we made it to baghdad in under two weeks. An old marine saying is "If everything is going according to plan, switch to plan 'B'" for the simple fact that somthings about to go horribly wrong.
