I have a lot of opportunities available to me academically and economically yet I just waste all of my time playing Clock Tower and jDoom.
I should find college fun but it's just depressing and boring.
What's wrong with me?
I'm in the same boat, buddy.
I think I'll play some more Tsukihime.
its the day to day routine which is wrong with you. I'm sure you have something that you might want to do, but wont because you don't enjoy it, and then you don't enjoy yourself when doing something you should enjoy because you are worried about future. So the trick is to use logic and balance.
I feel the same way.
And why should you find college fun?

Because what you SHOULD and what you WANT are two different things. Spend some time on what you want to do with your life, what would give it meaning. Then it will come to you what road to take.
Oh if you smoke cannabis, even just in the weekends, then it is the herb. I smoked a heap of the stuff and more or less wasted a decade because of it. Wasted not because of a career of whatever, but because I wasn't even doing fun things either.

Welcome to being an older teenager.
The whole college things, plagues me, I am in a program, I don't know if I really enjoy, I don't know want to do for the rest of my life. Honestly, most of my classes depress me. I went into this program out of apathy more than anything else its all I knew, taking similar classes in High School I became somewhat good at it. I have a friend who's aspiration it is to become a lawyer, he tells me I should of chosen another path. Honestly I think I would have been far better off talking my first year out of high school Off, finding my self and discovering what it is I want out of life.
>>5 is right. Learn to distinguish between what you want and what other people want you to want. Also stop comparing yourself with others and trying to either to be better than them or to keep up with them. Instead decide what you want, make a plan and go for it. To learn about what you want think about what you always wanted to do or what you often fantasized about - it's a starting point and it's not gonna be easy.
