Is this a depression or just some reandom shit (6)

Lately I've been pretty down. I don't even know why. Everything is going well, I've got good grades in college and don't have any problems with my family or friends. But somehow everything seems so pointless to me. I'm trying to think positive and be happy but it's not quite working. Everything I do feels really pointless. I don't even feel like standing up or eating. I get easily annoyed by people around me who don't do anything particular, but I keep t to me. I feel weak and tired and sometimes thoughts of harming myself enter my mind.
This whole thing isn't for the first time, I've been like this some months ago and before as well.
Well I'd like to know if there are other people who feel like this and if these really are depressions or just some phase or whatever and if there's something I could do. I don't actually like to feel this way but the thoughts are just randomly coming to mind and won't go away. Somehow it gets worse every day...

It's a slump. I guess we all get that.

That's life, man. I've been like that almost constantly since grade school. You've just got to soldier on, somehow.

There isn't a single morning that goes by where I cctually want to drag my ass out of bed and off to work, but I do it because I have to. I've got to earn money to justify living at home (because my parents sure as hell don't want to provide room and board to a freeloader), so I have no choice in the matter. If I could, I'd never leave my room.

So I guess you've just got to find a sense of duty to get through it all. Once you accept that there are things you absolutely have to do, whether you want to or not, it's easier to get through life even when you have no motivation whatsoever.

Unfortunately, it's always easier said than done.
