Tomorrow I must phone my old school to inquire about acquiring a transcript and date of leave letter. I am a hikikomori and have not been to school or used a telephone in 8 years. What do I do?
Set an exact time that you'll call, and force yourself to do it. Have a piece of paper ready, and continuously scribble while talking and listening. It should help calm you. Don't try to practice exactly what you'll say; wing it.
Try to keep in mind that these people get so many phone calls per day that they're not going to care about you or remember you. If you get freaked out, they're not going to notice or think you're weird. Try to talk to a pet or sing to yourself before you call, so that your voice has less of a chance of giving out on you.
You don't have to look these people in the eye or be polite. Relax, you can do it!
Yes, do all of what 2 said. Just make sure your voice doesn't sound weird. You know like some sort of creep, because then she'll think you're sort of creepy. And don't use weird words. Make sure you remember politeness too, "thank you" and all of the other common phrases of social interaction.

4ch is not society. Exchanges here require the absolute minimum exposure while still allowing exchange. No ID, voice, picture, nickname given. Absolute security, and lack of personal engagement.
