No it wouldn't be too late. You'd catch a growth before it got out of hand. It's not like the moment you get a tumour you are sentanced to death. The sooner the get treament the more likely you will survive, with balls in tact.

Tell me about it. Becoming sterile almost sounds like a blessing. Once you have a permanent partner you can go at it with no protection with no risk of pregnancy and thus no risk of money leeching children.
