To learn more effectively (5)

Hi, i am not a guy with great intelligence nor talents.

I am slow at learning things and to really understand it, adapting to new contents, applying it.

I need to learn faster and more effective.

Otherwise i am screwed at university and i am going to kill myself before it even has started.

Don't worry. Almost everyone who is really intelligent knows that their intelligence is relative - ie. in a specific mental task they excel (perhaps memory and fact checking, arithmetic ability). I am saying basically that you need to find what you are good at. But if what you are doing now is something you enjoy, the obvious step is to study harder. Talk to your professors and ask specific questions about the material. Read about your major when you have some free time.

Stay focused, and don't give up! Ganbatte! Good luck!

For memorising things, have you tried creating a memory palace?

It sounds crazy but it works. Magicians use it for memorising maps and databases and so forth.

Yeah, using moderately practised mnemonic techniques. I figured this out while still quite young, and it holds my greatest imaginations to this day.

My memory is really bad.
Or better my potential (i have a relative small brain, skull size is 55cm).

Bye.
