There's a simple reason to live. Interest in something.
Be it something approved of, or even something looked down upon.
If you have anything in your life that gives you even an inkling of good feeling, pursue it.
Otherwise, it'd be a fair thing to say that you personally have no reason to go on living.
If it really is true that you've no interest in anything, I don't see why it'd be such a terrible thing for you to not be living. If you're not living in one sense, how are you living in another?
While I personally don't care much for the idea of killing oneself, because even some of the most disinterested people have eventually found some sort of interest, I don't feel that people live to be approved of anyway.
So if you find something that intrigues you for any reason, go with that.
(Though...even I agree with 2 just a bit. Though attention-seeking isn't such a terrible thing in my mind. I'm quite fond of the idea of engaging other people. It's one of my interests, one of my reasons to do things at all.=P)
I agree, but for me, there is so much I'm interested in, that nothing really interests me anymore. Nothing really stands out to me, and I'd tried many different things, and I still am.
I myself think that the desire to continue to live is a natural thing. Many who attempted to commit suicide and failed say they regretted it cause they actually didn't want to die. I've also thought about why I am living, what I am living for, but I don't really have an answer to that. I think that the best I could come up with would probably be that you live to pursue. Whether it be love, a hobby, or ambition.
There is no real reason why you shouldn't give up on living. Except for reasons you come up with for yourself, but I think that there is no reason not to continue to live either.

Besides. I would never stifle someone who TRUELY, DEEP DOWN, wished to do something. But as they say, your right to punch me ends where my nose begins.

To truly enjoy life, you need people who care about you, and who you care about. If you have people important to you, you'll start to see value in life.
The way I see it, life is all about bonding with others. All material things, including our very bodies, are merely mediums for bonding between souls.
But that's just me :P
There are many places to see. It would be stupid to die without checking them out. And when you start checking them out, you'll find it's really dumb to go out before checking even more of them.
Unless you are terminally ill and in agony, I don't think there is a valid reason to commit suicide. Just relax and take it easy, you are taking things a bit to seriously ^^)

Dangerous? Not if you're a nihilistic hedonist.
Because there's a lot of stuff to do. If you're stuck in a rut, do something different. Take a trip, quit your job and find a new one, go back to school, learn a new skill. Go to a new restaurant and try some new food.

I was trying to be impartial after all. I knew that most everything posted would be from at least a slightly biased point of view.
Here's my question for OP:
Is it that you find life to be too painful to bear?
or....
Is it that life is a blank slate to you and you wish to slide into utter and complete blankness?(Which is arguably a matter of escaping the pain of living when you see people as having no purpose.)
You know, if you end it all (not even suicide, just not living a fulfilling life), people are gonna remember you as the dumbass that failed. Now if you keep going, you're already that much ahead of all the losers in the world. ;)
