Insomnia and Alcohol (7)

Some people mention having a 'nitecap' of alcohol to help fall asleep. I'm quite the opposite - on nights after drinking, I can't fall asleep for shit. And sleeping pills are not recommended for those nights. Anyone else have trouble falling asleep after boozing?

On nights that I drink, I'm actually often awake long enough to sober up. D:

waiting for the headache to go away doesn't help

Interesting. I did not know people had that problem. Sometimes I will make myself stay awake if I have reason but as an alcoholic (for the most part and I do admit) I drink to relax at the end of the day and "de-stress" so I can go to sleep.

I will say I do not "crave" alcohol on a constant basis, which other alcoholics told me they do. I can go without it for a while, sometimes weeks, but when I get mega stressed or have a bad guy, get me that bottle baby!

>>1 i knew i wasn't the only one! yeah i have the same 'problem' yet it does come in handy when your out partying till the early morning.

It does get annoying though when you're at a party, everyone has passed out but you're still awake and alone...
