Do you think being short has ruined your changes for a wife or wrecked your career? (5)

As I posted in another thread, I am 5'4" tall male. While I do not have an attitude problem about being short or have any kind of "short man" or "napoleon complex" I do know they have done studies where shorter men make less money and get married later.

I did not get married until I was in my 30s and I am pretty sure being short is killing my career. I always seem to stay a contractor and never get hired on and it seems when I do get hired on full time some where, after the honeymoon period, the job turns to shit.

Move to an Asian country.

But seriously, I'm 5 foot, and although I'm a female, I know what you mean. All my life I've been patronised, and the guys that I like are usually twice my height. But I think at the end of the day, you make do with what you got, and if you're good at what you do, people will recognise that regardless.

There are many different ways of being at a disadvantage. You're better off concentrating on your strong points. I know plenty of short guys who did very well, both professionally and on sentimental relationships.

The most important is that they don't obsess about their shortness. Because if it obviously bothers them, how can other people not notice it?

If you think your height gives you a slight disadvantage, work of having other advantages. People will weight advantages and disadvantages, and if what you have on offer is attractive, they won't mind your height. Besides, complaining about your love life when you're already married sounds like falling into whining country.
