Mama's boy (7)

I don’t really have a problem. I just want some honest opinion.

Mama’s boy! Do you guys think it is frowned upon?

I’m in my late twenties and I still live with my mom. However, she’s my dependant. I basically pay for everything. I don’t have any choice because I’m all she got in this world. She’s been a single parent with no other family member to depend on ever since I learned to talk. So you can see my dilemma. It was always us against the world and we have been kicking some serious ass. But now I’m going out looking for my s/o and I’m worried that no everyone can accept my situation.

if they can't accept then ask them to fuck off, you need to realize there are more understanding people out there, like me!
o don't leave your mum alone. Maybe you can consider buying an apartment close to her?

Oh haha, we do. We live in a duplex. She lives in A and I lives in B. But she still roams around my place when I’m home.

Dude, people these days are too selfish and egocentric to care for anyone but themselves. You're helping out your mom when she basically raised you from when you were born. That's something admirable. Those who think otherwise are ungrateful twats.

Were I do meet you and find you attractive, I would not be put off by your situation. You're the one supporting her, and for good reason. The only possible problem I can see is her not giving you and a potential s/o enough privacy to pursue a relationship. But that may not be a problem at all.

For one thing, she's the dependent one, not you. If it were the other way around I wouldn't take a second look at you. If anything, I would probably get jealous of your mum. Girls want a guy that can look after her, and you're doing exactly that. Whilst it might be a bit awkward initially, I'm sure that any sensible girl will recognise that you're someone that they can rely on. There's too many kids out there that don't give a damn about their parents, and I wouldn't trust them with a penny of mine.

It's great to be taking care of your mom. The only type of "mama's boy" I somewhat have problems with are the type that won't try to do anything without consulting their moms first. It gets a little hard to talk to someone when you know that everything you say will be repeated to his mom.

But you're very much fine; I wouldn't frown upon you at all. ^^
