Conservative Party will win.

I just hope Harper isn't really Libertarian. Some of his early comments, from before he was running for PM, make me wonder.

4 Name: Citizen 2006-01-23 13:22 ID:asTW/kkK

what is libertarian

5 Name: Citizen 2006-01-23 16:58 ID:Heaven

Libertarians just might be our political saviors.

>I just hope Harper isn't really Libertarian.

Are you fucking kidding me? Harper? Libertarian?

LOL

Anyways, conservatives got minority government. Prepare for two years of nothing. I can stand nothing if it means Harper can't assrape this country back into the Reagan Era.

> Are you fucking kidding me?

Some of the comments I've heard from him certainly make me think that. He seems to think that too, to some degree: http://www.google.com/search?q=harper+libertarian

However, I'm not in Canada right now, nor am I paying a large amount of attention to the campaigns, so I may be wrong.

> I can stand nothing

I concur with this. Tangentally, I've never understood why some people look for prime ministers who do sweeping changes and "get things done". Sometime the status quo is nice too.

Libertarians are those who would like to throw off the yoke of the government and replace it with the bigger yoke of the corporations.

Those two articles were most likely written by members of those groups. Who better to tell you what their politics are about?

So the Conservatives won, ending 12 years of Liberal rule. What do you guys all think of that?

14 Name: Citizen 2006-01-26 22:17 ID:Heaven

My guess is he'll lower taxes, cut social programs, and generaly fuck things up, like conservatives allways do. I heard they're was gonna kill a socialized daycare program the liberals were trying to get started.

15 Name: Citizen 2006-01-27 07:09 ID:asTW/kkK

he can't do anything because he only has a minority

16 Name: Citizen 2006-01-28 04:28 ID:Heaven

Oh, the impression I got was that the conservatives and their allied parties were in the majority. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that american news companies fucked up though...

If anyone has read the book "It's the crude, dude" (which is by a really awesome Canadian author) it's mostly about, guess what, oil, America and all that jazz, but it always comes back to what/how it all affets Canada...after I read about what the Conservatives did to our economy with the US, with our natural resources and with the oil in Alberta, I could never vote for them. X3 Just thought I'd throw that tidbit out there.

Socialists calling themselves Libertarian? SNAKE, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? YOU'VE CREATED A TIME PARADOX! FISSION MAILED. You might as well suggest deep-sea parachuting is the best thing to do at work.

The term "libertarian" means something different to most americans like yourself then it does to everyone else in the world. Look at lain's lame essay for an example.

"Libertarian" means "I can't spell" in most parts of the world. It's "liberal" that has different meanings inside the US, and outside. "Libertarian" means nothing in most parts of the world.

You fuck off, anonymous elitist asshole.

I bet you're one of those fuckers who slanders people and then hides behind your "anonymous" sheild, pretending you never said it! You're a coward! It's people like you who make this internet a bad place to be in.

It's also people like you who make me support total information control by the US Government over the internet, so assholes like you can't say things like that! My fragile ego cant take the abuse of being called a "tripfag", and many people would agree with me!

Hail NSA!

Hail Bush!
