This is my opinion, but the 2ch portal link on top of the 'nav bar' is screaming "come to 2channel, this bbs is much better"..
i mean, why have a link that takes you out of 4ch at the "very top" of a navbar? newcommers see it and click thinking that it is a discussion thread about 2ch portal. (if they are stupid, but it happens). Some "other" newcommers may just click their way downwards on the navbar and the second link takes them out.
sure the white space between the two top links and the rest of the thread links is good, but i would keep the 4-ch home link on top and put 2ch portal under the __________, or just lower.
OK, I am a dramaqueen.. so sue me.. beacuse me and sue is taking a walk in the park later this evening. Just had to say what i had in mind.. keep it, it really doesn't bother me that much. 3.. 2.. 1.. gogogo! oshi, the police.. sue! hide under the bed, im going to jump put the windows XP edition, keep the virus.
On the subject of minor pedantry, the cosplay imageboard currently says "This board is about Videogames" etc.
