... and you can talk about all science-related things, either news items, or what you found out what happened when you mixed chlorine and sugar together.

While I'm at it... Here would be a good thread to think up of a better Anonymous default name.

Yes. Any "real" science is counted. Natural Sciences are real, "the science of getting laid" is not.

What does that mean? So sociology, philosophy, history of arts, etc. are taboo on here?

11 Name: Mad Scientist 2005-05-22 18:43 ID:Heaven

Just post. If it gets deleted or moved, you know it isn't welcomed.

A science (in a somewhat broader definition of the word) is a decipline focusing on facts that are based on testable and falsifiable evidence. So...you might be disinclined to post anything that is not testable or falsifiable such as astrology, religion, et hoc genus omni. Mathematics (though similar to science) is not in the scientific domain.
Other than that I am sure topics ABOUT science are acceptable (such as ethics, non-testable theory -- such as the string theory, and viewpoints about science, the scientific community, discoveries, etc.)

Don't run around posting vapid replies to every single thread you happen across, please. Especially not year-and-a-half-old ones that have long since become irrelevant.

But I'm having fun! I don't mean to disturb your well organized board, but I've just found it and some of the topics are interesting. I'm not doing it that much damage in taking interest am I?

:D Apologies if I have caused you any undue suffering. :D

It's "text art" mode.

1) You don't determine what can be posted around here, I do.
2) Learn how to use sage. There is no excuse for ignorance. http://4-ch.net/wiki/#UsingSage
