WRT54g hacking (6)

I have a slight problem. Living with my parents, I also live under their internet rules. One of the most annoying is the router. My dad hates when people use filesharing programs. Although some, such as BearShare, do work, I am unable to use any torrents. The router password has been changed from its factory default. Can anyone give me a solution that would allow me access yet making it seem as though no problems have occurred?

Can you configure bittorrent to use different ports?

If you're using Azureus and UPnP was turned on at the router, it should be able to work for torrents with incoming ports and all. Its UPnP plugin will tell the router to forward the appropriate incoming connections.
