I've tried googling "Use computer website server" in hopes to convert one of my old PCs into a website server, but all I get is stuff about protecting your computer.

Does 4-ch know anything?

I've dug this link up with absolutely no idea how to use it, although I know it may help:

http://www.wampserver.com/en/ <-- if you're on windows, get that, you're done.

if you're on linux... what the hell are you doing asking us?

Switching to Linux is the correct answer anyway.

Then what kind of Linux should I switch to?

Well. OpenBSD makes the best server IMO, but that's probably jumping in over your head for a newbie.
Go with Ubuntu, I hear it's easy.
