do u or do u not wanna see it?
Hello. I've been watching a great deal of movies lately in my free time. Two or three a day. I'm looking for a movie, a really deep, intellectually charged drama. Something, anything. I've tried every variation of google searching and the best I've been offered is A Clockwork Orange or movies like it.
People offer me a suggestion for a movie. Something incredibly deep but subtle, that doesn't beat it's message round the viewers face.

you've probably seen this, but i love it
Harry Potter
Look dude, you probably dont want to her this, but you need to. If you are watching two to three movies a day, lets say each one is about two hours. Then that's four to six hours a day spent watching movies. The average person sleeps 10 hours a day, and that means there are eight left spent in the day. Let's say about an hour on meals combined and getting ready for the day/bed, then you'll only have six hours left in your day.
I am a physiologist, and I know a bit about habits like this. They are extremely close to always linked with some sort of bad social experience. The subject seeks to escape reality temporarily through movies.
This means less time for friends and work and school and family and relationships and exercise and other hobbies and the list goes on. Also, there is a high coorilation between vision loss and electronics.
Bottom line, it is ok to seek meaning in movies, but not as often as you do.
Taxi Driver (1976) Starring Robert De Niro
Also ignore my physiologist friend up there, we had a few too many sake bombs tonight.

This is a new and as far as I have found out, popular show. It is a good show with good in-depth descriptions and developementsx of characters, and just the right amount of suspense.
It is about zombies, or as they are called in the show, "walkers" or "biters", so obviously the characters change around that fact. Also, many die along the way.
I was just wondering who was your favorite character and why, and who were you saddest to see die?
Also, WTF happened to that guy at the beginning of the first season and his kid??
I'll start us off and say Daryl. He is a stereotypical redneck at first, but he begins to make connections with all the characters in the main group. He seems to be the most focused and next to Glynn, the best at getting supplies. He is a bad-ass, and I personally would be done with the show if he died early into it.
The person I was saddest to see die was T-dog. He was the only character who wasn't corrupted by the outbreak. He did lots of things to help the group, and when he died, I was the saddest of all the other deaths.
tdog is sad 2 dye :'( rip in peese tdog black maan.

Is there any science fiction films out there where the scientists do not have to turn into complete and utter idiots in order to advance the plot?
I was asked this question recently by a friend of mine who had just watched Prometheus, and realized I could not think of a single example I had watched. So I'm wondering if this board can help me come up with an answer or five.
Argh, I need to start proofreading my posts better. That was meant to read "Are there any science fiction films out there [...]", obviously.
Them! does a pretty decent job. Most of the people around him are fairly skeptical of the scientist, but imo that parallels America's anti-intellectual attitude pretty well.
2001: A Space Odyssey
Every sci-fi serial ever. The scientists aren't just scientists, they're superheroes!

Quatum leap, sliders — those I watched and was quite satisfied.
What else would you recommend just after entry level has been cleared?
Who watches?
Favourite actors? Actresses?
I just watched "Coffee Prince"
The first one I watched on tv was "Marry a Millionaire" about a reality-tv series.
Those are both really bad...
"Marry a millionnaire" got a reality-tv version?
>>3 No, that's just what it was sort of based on. That'd be so wierd to watch though, eh? hehe
I watch many Korean TV Dramas and Movies. I think I 'm addicted to them. ^^
Now I'm watching Fantsy Couple. It is really good drama. One korean friend suggested it. It is really worth watching.
