I watch Newlyweds. The Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey show. I try not to miss new episodes. I know it's crap, but I can't stop myself.
For the longest time I wracked my soul trying to find out why I was so attracted to it. I haven't even watched any reality shows since the second Survivor series, nor do I listen to either of their music.
Then one day it hit me. It's a dammned magical girlfriend show! Jessica is the ditzy yet lovable klutz who for some contrived reason shacks up with Nick, the personality-free stand-in for the male viewer who acts as her comedic straight man.
If you can see the connection, tell me, am I really so strange?

it's a movie about a child molester,

P.S. it was a very good movie, heartbreaking
