Hey people...

I'm looking all over the place for informational websites about movies, sorta like IMDB without ads... And believe me, even using an ad blocker still makes it look commercial. (´ー｀)

I found an interesting wiki on http://movies.merkey.net where they seem to be creating an IMDB replacement as a wiki, but it has hardly any content so I was wondering where you guys get your movie info.

And I'm so sorry if this belongs in Net Culture, except it made sense to me about posting here.

Few people realize, but the IMDB is much older than the IMDB website, and is actually a volunteer-driven effort to gather information about movies and make the database freely available. You can still get it: http://www.imdb.com/interfaces

An early form of the IMDB is one of the websites in my 1993 "Guide to the World Wide Web".
