Let's start on a lighthearted note that'll hopefully amuse you just the tiniest bit:
For me one of the stuff that's disturbing is that David Tennant can act that girly that well. Or possibly the fact that I actually somehow find him attractive when he does that, except for his face.

...oh the horror...
So very confused on so many levels.
The fact that I just found out he took his last name from Neil Tennant doesn't help either.

Who's David Tennant?

Theatre and movie actor, he's been at it for a long while. I 2006 he landed the role of the 10th Doctor in Doctor Who (he had been under consideration for the 9th), and.. I guess you could compare him to Patrick Stewart getting Picard, only a lot younger: a well known theatre actor lands the main role in a cult tv-series that has generations and generations of fans. Since '63, I think, thought it stopped in ..89? And wasn't resumed until 2005.

LOST:
I don't get Lost. I've seen several episodes. It's just stupid. Like how they keep trying to make a big "mystery" around the guy who keeps fucking up every plan that could get them off the island. I don't even get how there even is a mystery. Story-wise, it's simple -- He can walk on the island, and off the island he's in a wheelchair -- long story short he likes using his fucking legs. In Real Life, it's even simpler -- when they get off the fucking island, the show is over -- he's Gillagan in a drama. Way to pick your "mysteries", Abrams.

For that matter, why is Abrams such a "hot" director? really, nothing he's done has impressed me. MI:3 that's supposed to be all great is just another action flick. And action flicks aren't that hard to make. Things go boom, and you build a story around getting the characters to the places that are going to go boom, and possibly causing the explosions theirselves.

So, Lost is like Gilligan's Island without the funny, and a dose of pseudo-X-Files?

Yep. And most good writers wouldn't have made it so blindingly obvious. Lost in Space did the "guy sabotages the ship" thing, but a) it was 1964, and b) the doctor was the obvious villian through the whole thing. It wasn't a mystery, and nobody pretended it was.

Gilligan was funny, but I can't imagine how stupid the whole thing would look if GI went the same direction as Lost.

Now that you mention it, most of the other mysteries are definately the X-Files style shadow government conspiracies. Dharma is a shadow government doing psi experiments, and the Hanso Foundation is another shadow government making ultra weapons.

Somebody call mulder and scully.

Yeah, I saw a few eps of the original show. I don't care what anybody says -- that robot is having a seizure. Don't see the movie though -- it's not that good.

Too late. I saw the movie when it came out, and was horribly disappointed. While it is true that the tv-series was cheesy, it was cheesy in an AWESOME way.
