Greatest movie or greatest movie?
300
Greatest movie or greatest movie?
Actually, now that I thinnk about it, they are both GREATEST MOVIE.
I personally thought Beowulf was rubbish. They took every possible opportunity to say the name "Beowulf" and every opportunity to show limp bodies being flung through the air. I like the story behind it, but I think there's difficulty in translating a poem from a story-telling society of the past into a modern film context.
a big part of Beowulf was in the poetic aspect of it- symbolism, form, meter that sort of thing that wouldn't really translate onto the screen. and without that sorta stuff- the story itself is really kinda short so they'd need a lot of filler.
and the using the name of Beowulf sounds like they're trying to recreate the "THIS IS SPARTA" phenomenon.
I. Am. BEOWULF!!
I. Am. SPARTA!!
BEOWULF. Am. SPARTA!!
THIS AM BEOWARTA!
Imagine a Beowulf cluster of ... oh wait.
I saw a preview of Beowulf and thought, "How. Hypermasculinity and CGI don't mix."
But even though 300 is by the same definition I liked it better.
Honestly, Beowulf is the WORST movie I've seen.
It's OKAY in IMAX 3D.
300 is a lot better imo
It really depends on what you like. Like take myself for example, Im wiccan so seeing all those other wiccans battling mythalogical monsters almost made me cum right then and there.
