I've recently seen one that translates to "Wild Pig's Big Makeover". It's good ^^
Ichi rittoru no namida
and if you're feeling rather gay
Nobuta wo produce
Ikemen Paradise @ Hana Kimi. Very very hillarious
Konna koi no hanashi
Someone was telling me about a drama about a train otaku. No, he wasn't getting confused with Densha Otoko. But he couldn't remember what the show's name was either. :-/
akihaba @ deep
best japanese tv show ever[comedy]
in b4 densha otoko.
Densha Otoko the best imo
hana yori dango, nodame cantibile, honey and clover
>>7 i liked akihabara@deep... mainly because of ikuta toma
Konna koi no hanashi? That is seriously old school, but also one of my favorites. Over Time was good too.

Train otaku, i know it i think
Tokkyu Tanaka San-Go

Bengoshi no Kuzu and Taiyo no Uta are awesome. Also Nobuta wo PRODUCE. You also can't go wrong with Furin Kazan, a historical dorama that's been around for WHO KNOWS how long.
Liar Game was the first drama I watched! Nobuta wo Produce, Jotei? Last Friends is airing at the moment, Zettai Kareshi (maybe) definitely Hana Yori Dango, also try Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, 1 Litre of Tears, Kurosagi. If you want something sad, Yuuki.
Last Christmas remains one of my favorites that I haven't seen a lot of people mention. Yada Akiko is amazing.
Am I the only one who noticied the jtv hardsubs are horrible. They have scenes in orange days where it is white on white making it impossible to know what's going on during the entire white scene.
OP, if you are still visiting this site, did you watch the jtv rips?
Is there anyone who love Kitamura Kazuki, who appeared in Yaoh or Bambino?
This is my favorite commercial film where Kitamura is on.
Sorry,
which Kitamura is on.
has anyone seen densha otoko? it's a great love story about an unsocial otaku who saves this beautiful girl from a drunkard on a train. densha otoko (train man), gets help from the dezins of a message board called 2channel. If you watch the movie, it all sums it up but the tv show is funny, interesting and just plain weird.
i've also watched nobuta wo prouce, akihabara@deep, densha otoko and last christmas- all are pretty good...
but the BEST shows i've seen are hana kimi, hana yori dango, and nodame cantibile- these are like my favorite shows ever!
& you can download high quality fansubs from SARS of all of these.
right now i'm watching absolute boyfriend (zettai kareshi), it's silly but fun :0)
you guys and gal must see My Boss My Hero
its the story of a yakuza that must go to high school in order to succeed to be the clan leader.
(the actor is the singer of the band Tokio)
zettaikareshi is also good
Galileo is also good.
WATCH IWGP.. ALL OF YOU
Hana Kimi japanese version ^_^ :) XD :O weeyayhahahoo
>>16 Thanks, you were spot on, this matches the guy's description exactly. Good show too!
>>35 honestly what was good about that show? (not trying to be rude here)
i really couldnt stand tanaka,
Orange Days is a must see.
One thats showing at the moment is Maou.
GOKUSEN and I have a shitty memory...
>>36 Yeah to be honest I have no idea. I might have sympathised with Hanagata or something. I only remember it leaving a huge impression on me but with no clear idea of why it was so good.
>>37
Gokusen was OK after the first season, but number two was EXACTLY the same, and I doubt season 3 to be any better.
The second season actually got so formulaic that I couldn't remember which episode I was on, and skipping through some didn't help as they all were about the exact same things.
>>39
Season 3 is very much the same. Every episode is some kid getting in some shit, and then her running to some random alley and/or warehouse and then the same soundtrack playing for the same things in every single episode.
I think that's what passes for fan service for this series.
paa papapaaaaa pa paaaa pa paaaa pa paaaaaaaaa
^^ absolutely! I reckon it's less about the gripping storyline than about tons of cute boys for the ladies ^^ altho, loads of stuff that yankumi said got me good grades in my teaching qual... hehe
btw the movie apparently brings some of the old cast back...
I quite liked yasuko to kenji, when it was on... zettai kareshi was ok, but the manga is way better... enjoyed akihabara@deep... water boys - quite entertaining! what else... currently waiting for bloody monday to start.
>>43
yeah, I agree come to think of it, some of the main cast were mainly Johnny's ent. boys.
cant wait for bloody monday too!
i think Ryuusei no Kizuna is supposed to be good as well.
did anyone like dragon zakura??
i'm currently watching Densha Otoko... that's how I found this board! hehe!
ryuusei no kizuna is starting in a few weeks as well, isn't it? including Kazunari Ninomiya ^^ reason enough to at least take a peak ^^
>>45 taste my fiery fire.
MAOU MAOU MAOU!!!!
Haha ~~~ yeh i liked this drama!! It was intense but it really was the only good drama on the season in my opinion.
Though you could always settle with plain wierd no meaning but funny drama of 33pun tantei (33 Min Detective.)
everyone must watch Ichi Rittoru no Namida (1 Liltre of Tears)
bloody monday is really good
I loved Maou too.
Anyone watched tetsudou musume yet?
bloody monday ~ it's quite thrilling and captivating, almost a little frightening... but hard to look away, imo. miura haruma does an excellent job on this.
Hmm... Hana Yori Dango + Hana Yori Dango Returns is my favorite <3
i just finished watching zettai kareshi and it was very touching! i couldn't help but cry at the end.
…I liked Flowers for Algernon (Algernon ni hanataba wo).
Last Friend. It's really nice.
I've really enjoyed watching 3-B-gumi Kinpachi Sensei. Perhaps one of the best school dramas ever written. Although high-quality episodes are somewhat difficult to find on the internet. Series 6 was probably the best series, featuring Aya Ueto as Nao. :)
well i think my best dorama is Densha Otoko and My Boss My Hero
Densha Otoko for the heartwarming story
My Boss My hero for "The PUDDING CRISIS" LOL
Haha! My Boss My Hero was such a funny drama. It provided a really interesting twist to an otherwise outdated genre.
The recently aired Maou was a decent drama. I wasn't a big fan of any of last seasons dramas, but Ryuusei no Kizuna wasn't bad. Innocent Love was alright if you like Asano Taeko's style of angst, but I preferred Last Friends.
Trick
Kuitan
Nodame Cantabile (live action)
L'Oiseau Bleu
