Dancer in the Dark is completely depressing, even though it's a musical starring Bjork. I also recommend Sweeny Todd, which is another musical that's awesome.

i wouldnt refer to them as suicide flicks, but the vengeance trilogy might be just what you are after... oldboy has a "happy ending" in the most twisted horrible way possible :p

I just saw Donnie Darko last week, its dark and sort of depressing, and imply murder.
